Sand matting for refining of glass
The matting can be done on partial or full surfaces
For refinement and optical enhancement of glass, it can be matted by means of sandblasting technology. The matting is done on partial or full surfaces – entirely according to customer requirements. Small granules are blasted onto the desired area of the glass surface, creating a mat glass surface in this area. The glass is opaque and mat yet retains its translucent appearance.
Stencils can be used to apply various motifs, ornaments, logos, lettering, and many other designs to the glass. In the interest of sustainability, the granulate is of course collected and reused.
